A Guaranteed Ride Home Program (GRH) works like a safety net to take the worry out of ridesharing or taking transit. With GRH, you can take a taxi, rental car or other ride home in case of an emergency or unscheduled overtime.
Types of GRH Programs
Company Programs – An employer program offered as an incentive to encourage employees to rideshare without the worry of being stranded at work in case of emergencies or unscheduled overtime.
Commuter Connections Regional Program – The Metropolitan Washington Council of Government’s (COG) Commuter Connections Regional Guaranteed Ride Home Program is available to registered carpoolers, vanpoolers and transit riders in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. Commuter Connections provides free information, a regional Guaranteed Ride Home program and computer matching services to area residents and workers seeking to join carpools, vanpools and transit arrangements.
