It’s quick.  It’s easy.  Ask your boss to call 410-767-8750 to join the program.  A Commuter Choice Maryland representative will assist your employer by providing step-by-step instructions on how to set up a commuter benefits program that meets the company’s needs.

Your employer will most likely send out via email or hard copy an employee announcement stating that they have teamed up with MTA to provide you with a brand new employee benefit called Commuter Choice Maryland.  The announcement will explain that by taking transit to work instead of driving, you can save thousands of dollars a year, and by commuting on transit you will ride MTA Local Buses, Commuter Buses, Light Rail, Metro Subway and MARC Train for less than full fare, saving you even more money.  Your boss will tell you how to sign up, when and where you can pick up your monthly pass at the worksite, and which option was selected for handling the monthly pass fare (employer supported option, pre-tax salary deduction option, employer/employee combination option).
