1. Monthly Passes (Baltimore Region)
- At least 20 employees must be signed up in your program for your company to be in the formal Commuter Choice Maryland program. If you have less than 20 employees in your program you can still participate. Your employer can either go online and buy passes or visit one of our pass sales outlets and buy passes. Then, choose one of the three options for delivering passes to employees (Employer-supported, Pre-Tax Salary Deduction, or Combination).
- Monthly passes are delivered “on consignment” to the workplace during the third week of each month through convenient deliveries by MTA.
- Passes are good for unlimited monthly travel on MTA Local Buses, Light Rail, and Metro Subway.
- Employer pays for passes sold by submitting reconciliation sheet, unsold passes, and check or credit card information to MTA by the 20th of the month.
2. Vouchers
- Vouchers are available in $1, $5, $10, $20, and $64 denominations and can be redeemed at area Pass Sales Outlets for MTA weekly and monthly passes and at certain locations for Mobility 20-Trip Ticket Books.
- Vouchers are also valid toward the purchase of MARC Train tickets and MTA Commuter Bus passes, Transit Link Cards (TLC) and ten-trip tickets.
- Vouchers can also be used to offset monthly vanpool expenses.
- Employers purchase vouchers from the MTA and pay for them in advance
